History of Aagaard

From a small collection that could fit inside a cigar box, Aagaards’ collections today embrace a wide range of internationally renowned jewellery brands, which fills up to 20-22 suitcases when displayed. Since its foundation in 1946, Aagaard has grown to 150 employees while becoming a significant player on the international market.

Today, the Danish firm Aagaard is one of the leading jewellery manufacturers in Scandinavia. Since Jens J. Aagaard launched its first collection from its premises in the small seaboard town of Svendborg in 1946, the assortment has grown enormously. And the jewelleries that used to fit in a cigar box now need 20-22 large suitcases when all the jewellery brands are presented.

The Aagaard headquarters still remain in Svendborg, where the atmosphere and the same high standard in the goldsmith craft, as originally introduced, are retained. But over the years the company has grown to 150 employees situated in sales offices and production units in Svendborg, Randers, and the German city of Pforzheim.

Currently, Aagaard is expanding even further on the global marketplace, and people outside the otherwise primary exporting countries - Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany, Austria, USA, France and United Kingdom - have discovered the diverse exclusive Aagaard brands, that express individuality, unique design, and jewellery with international appeal.
